Yoga workout to teach your child how to pose with arms and legs, poses

Kids need to be taught how to relax, stretch, and pose in order to have a good workout, a yoga instructor says.

The new class, titled “Sitting with Your Child”, will be taught at a private studio in Los Angeles and will be part of the yoga school’s “Prayer for Yoga” program, said Tasha Jankiewicz, a teacher and yoga coach at the school.

“Children are coming into this class, so we need to do our part,” she told Reuters Health.

While the class itself will focus on sitting in the posture shown in the video, Jankiewis said she will teach other poses to teach children how to do yoga poses that are similar to what parents can do in the classroom.

Kids need to know how to sit properly with arms or legs, she said.

Parents will be able to take part in a two-hour class that will focus only on the yoga poses taught in the class, Janksiewicz said.

The yoga class will be held on Thursday from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the LA Yoga Center, which offers classes in studios, fitness centers, and in public schools.
